The lutenist Přemysl Vacek and the double bass player Lukáš Verner have friends all over the world. These include the famous Deuter family, from Germany. Although these days, they are a ‘baroque’ family, and Renaissance in their scope. The violinist Daniel Deuter will visit Prague with his life partner, the top baroque oboist Xenia Löffler, a long-time member and soloist of the Academy für Alte Musik Berlin. The family atmosphere will prevail at the concert also thanks to the Czech Baroque scene that is also family-like, reflecting faithfully the influential, music-rich Baroque clans of the Bachs and Telemanns. The ‘homely’ music-making will, of course, take place under the patronage of the highest apostolic family, represented in our case by St. Simon and St. Jude.
