ROMAN PATOČKA & ION MARIN

The FOK orchestra first met Maestro Ion Marin at the Prague Spring Festival in 2021. It was an inspiring meeting, filled with mutual understanding. The difficult pandemic times only intensified such a strong cooperation. The maestro is a great ‘all-rounder’ with a huge repertoire, both symphonic and operatic, but his soul is mainly romantic. That’s why, together with the concert master of our orchestra, Roman Patočka, we arrived at an altogether romantic evening, building on the work of the previous chief conductor, Pietari Inkinen, who systematically pursued a program of Bruckner symphonies. With Ion Marin, we take it another, romantic step further.
