Online Orchestral Academy of the Prague Symphony Orchestra
Online masterclass on the Czech repertoire (Dvořák, Smetana, Janáček etc.) with members of the Prague Symphony Orchestra.
During the time when it’s not possible to perform for the public, leading members of the Prague Symphony Orchestra have decided to share their experience with the up-and-coming generation of young musicians from all over the world. The Academy is suitable for students and graduates of music performance programs at the secondary or university level.
Individual lessons will emphasize the practical side of orchestral playing. Foreign students, especially, will learn to master the Czech symphonic repertoire. All lessons will be held as videocalls, and may be recorded, so students may replay and review their lessons. All mentors can recommend their students for further cooperation with the Prague Symphony Orchestra.
We look forward to your applications and CV on academy@fok.cz. After receiving your application, we will contact you, connect you with your mentor and you can look forward to your first lesson.
After completing the Academy’s programme, each student will receive a certificate issued by the Prague Symphony Orchestra.
The Academy will go on from 9th November 2020 to 29th January 2021 for free.
