ALEŠ BÁRTA – ORGAN RECITAL

The exceptional Czech organist, Aleš Bárta, will invite us up the stairs to Easter. But he will not be alone. As Bernard of Chartres once proclaimed, every organist worthy of the name stands on the shoulders of giants. Who else can call themselves organ giants than Johann Sebastian Bach, Max Reger, César Franck and Olivier Messiaen? The latter served as titular organist at the Église de la Sainte-Trinité for sixty-one years! No wonder his work is mystical. Like Easter, when the organ must be played.
