Markus EICHENLAUB | organ
Markus Eichenlaub has been a dome organist in Speyer, Germany since 2010. Let's remind ourselves about that dome! Its vault is 33 meters high! It is the largest surviving Romanesque building in the world, completed in 1106. A burial ground of kings and emperors. A cathedral of great importance for the history of the Czech Crown, as it was the place of the wedding of the 18-year-old Eliška Přemyslovna to 14-year-old Jan of Luxembourg, on September 1, 1310. That is why Speyer also has its Czech equivalent - Špýr. The recital program, therefore, must include a Czech item, which will entice us to the upcoming autumn period and the marking of the Czech Statehood Day. By the way, September 28 is the date of the death of Prince Václav as well of his great-niece Eliška Přemyslovna.
The concert is held in cooperation with the Municipal House.
