Marek KOZÁK | piano
Pianist Marek Kozák will perform for the first time in the World Piano Music series, but judging his path so far, it will not be the last time. His is a successful journey into the depth, a pathway lined with humility and diligence. For all the successes, let's mention that Marek Kozák is the laureate of the Prague Spring competition where he was – not by chance – accompanied by the FOK orchestra under the baton of Petr Altrichter. The young pianist was also successful in 2021 at the Géza Andy International Competition in Zurich, one of the most prestigious and difficult contests ever. He is constantly striving for refinement, as evident in the thoughtful menu that he offers for February 2023. Like in the verse by Vladimír Holan: “As few gestures as possible. No showing off.”
