The entire 2022/2023 season is dedicated to Europe, its nations, ideas, and some concerts to specific capitals. This early March concert is dedicated to Warsaw, the city of St. Klement Hofbauer and Marie Curie-Skłodowska. And musically, the city of Fryderyk Chopin and Witold Lutosławski. It is their music written for Warsaw and premiered in Warsaw that will be the emblem of the program. Poles are patriots, but at the same time unstoppable globetrotters, as evidenced by the artists who will take part in the programme: Maestro Krzysztof Urbański, a winner of the Prague Spring, and Music Director of the excellent Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, and the piano gem Jan Miłosz Lisiecki, a cosmopolitan born in Calgary. Nevertheless, or precisely because of that, he remains a compatriot - his discography overflows with Chopin. The city on the Vistula is simply irresistible!
The concert is organised under the auspices of Rafał Trzaskowski, Mayor of Warsaw.
