The unusual concert on Easter Sunday is the culmination of a new Easter festival, which is the result of cooperation between three countries: Germany, Portugal and, of course, the Czech Republic. Hence on one stage will meet: the German star singer Juliane Banse, the muse-blessed Portuguese clarinettist and laureate of the Prague Spring 2015 Horácio Ferreira, and the FOK concert master, the Czech virtuoso Roman Patočka. All of them accompanied by the Cologne Chamber Orchestra under the direction of its chief conductor, violinist and co-dramaturg of the Easter festival Christoph Poppen. Above it all Mozart, who shares beauty and grace with us. An experience especially palpable in the church of St. Simon and Jude, close to heaven, and thus even closer to Amadeus.
