Even today, the Netherlands is a ‘promised land’ for historical music; and the renowned flautist Erik Bosgraaf is one of the central figures there, also thanks to his height and overall charismatic appearance. With his faithful companion, the top Italian harpsichordist Francesco Corti, they will bring a truly royal programme for their Czech debut, namely one that pays tribute to Anne of Hanover, the British Royal Princess and much-gifted pupil of Georg Friedrich Handel. In 1734 she married William IV, Prince of Orange, later the ruler of the whole of the Netherlands, bringing the story to a beautiful conclusion.
The concert is held under the auspices of H.E. Daan Feddo Huisinga, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the Czech Republic.
