It is not common to see in the World Piano Music series another instrument alongside the piano. In the Rudolfinum recitals, however, there has to be one included, as a matter of principle. Always. And that is the grand organ. Therefore, we found attractive the offer of two French masters, the organist Olivier Latry and the pianist Éric le Sage, who have performed recently under the aegis of the FOK, to bring to Prague a unique joint programme. A consonance of organ and piano can fill the hall with an unbelievable range of harmonies and colours, by far not only blue, as George Gershwin imagined in his Rhapsody. There will be enough for Maurice Ravel’s impressionist palette as well as the compositions of organ masters across centuries.
he concert is held in cooperation with the French Institute in Prague.
