EPOQUE QUARTET – FILM, JAZZ, CLASSIC

There is probably nothing more classical in classical music than the string quartet, the repertoire of which is being created since the Classical era. But it turns out that even if you don’t work with the quartet in a strictly classic way, you can still be classy! Take the Epoque Quartet, for example. This group of brilliant musicians sails across genres, styles and eras. With the composer and pianist Jan Kučera, whose compositions will create the mainstay of the programme, they’ll bring us to the right pre-Christmas mood, and not only by including a miniature Creation. For help they’ll turn to famous transatlantic jazz and film melodies in innovative arrangements.
