In a period-documentary, Johann Sebastian Bach exemplifies musical genres in Germany and their sources from Italy, France, England, and Poland. This shows the cosmopolitan nature of musical life in the first half of the 18th century, which was given the label "mixed taste". And it is above all Georg Philipp Telemann who perfectly fulfils the ideal of mixed taste and unites the whole of Europe with his music. The Czech Ensemble Baroque, with Roman Válek at the helm, will complement the programme with a few madrigals.
