BACH – ST JOHN PASSION

No long introduction is needed for Johann Sebastian Bach's St John Passion. It is hard to imagine Easter without it. You won't mistake his music for any other. Listening to it is like returning to a landscape that is familiar and close to our hearts. The music’s crystal-clear purity and the endless flow of harmonies against the dramatic text create moments that take our breath away. This year we will return together to places we know, but we will try to see them with different eyes. Director Matěj Forman's staging will offer us another dimension to the fantastic landscape of Bach's music and invite us deeper into the drama of the Easter story.

The performance takes place in collaboration with the Forman Brothers Theatre.
