In the first moment of silence after the concert ‘Bach Four Hands’, we agreed with the harpsichordists Edita Keglerová and Monika Knoblochová that we would go on. Bach himself was not satisfied with two harpsichords and so expanded to three, even four. To get enough hands for the opening evening of Early Music series, the two harpsichordists looked to Moravia for help, and found Barbara Maria Willi and Martin Hroch. The winning line-up must not be changed, so as in the advent of 2019, the harpsichordists’ get-together will be accompanied by Marek Štryncl and his ensemble Musica Florea, who have been winning on Czech and world stages for a respectable 30 years, a feat that must be celebrated. Nothing is more appropriate than a true Bach feast!
