Zuzana FERJENČÍKOVÁ | organ
On Lazarus Saturday 2024, Zuzana Ferjenčíková, the great personality of Slovak organ art will sit down at the organ in the Smetana Hall for the first time. A pupil of the legendary Jean Guillou, she has held two important organ posts in Vienna and since 2014 has been working in Montpellier, France. In addition to all this, she is the founder and president of the Franz Liszt Society in Vienna and, finally, a remarkable composer, which completely explains the shape of this wonderful programme. Let us just add that she is the arranger of works by Tchaikovsky and Martinů. Marking the Year of Czech Music, she will be performing her arrangement of Martinů for the very first time.
The concert is held in cooperation with the Municipal House and with the support of the Slovak Institute in Prague.
