PRAGUE SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA
Claus Peter FLOR | conductor
Claus Peter Flor is not an accidental FOK guest, he has been invited by Tomáš Brauner, indeed with such confidence that we will play concerts with him for both domestic and German audiences. The May performances in Prague bear the title Time of Love, so the cast, of course, had to be joined by a lady. Sarah Traubel takes us to the world of Richard Wagner, a Wagner trapped in love and emotion, but melodically and motivationally, completely in his own world. Let’s look at Tannhäuser to prove this. In her Czech debut, the German soprano will become an angel, standing quietly, dreaming, and experiencing the pain of a fading emotion. For the conductor Flor this will also be his first performance with FOK; as an admirer of Czech music, he comes here to fulfil his appreciation for us, and in Dvořák's Fifth he’ll get plenty of opportunity. Like everyone else who comes to the Smetana Hall to, alongside us, fall in love.
