HOMMAGE À ÁSTOR

Ástor Piazzolla was famous innovator, whose birth centenary was in March 2021. By mixing jazz and classical music elements he recast the traditional tango into a style called tango nuevo. Fittingly, the leading Czech accordion player, Ladislav Horák, will pay homage to Ástor, demonstrating, in his improvisation, that his instrument has, after the organ, the largest tonal range. And how could we have a Piazzolla evening without a dance?
