New Year’s Concert

The Prague Symphony Orchestra welcomes the New Year with a tradition established by its legendary Chief Conductor Václav Smetáček, who made Tchaikovsky the centrepiece of the orchestra's New Year's concerts. Under the baton of Chief Conductor Tomáš Netopil, concertmaster Roman Patočka takes the spotlight in the Violin Concerto before the orchestra brings the celebrations to a thrilling close with Tchaikovsky's powerful Fifth Symphony.
